MINIMISING PENALITY IN INDUSTRIAL POWER CONSUMPTION BY ENGAGING APFC UNIT
The automatic power factor correction panel provides the required compensation to overcome the inductive reactance by using the power capacitors. The microcontroller 8051 receives current signal from current transformer and simultaneously gives the signals to the various contactors to connect the capacitors in the line for the compensation. Thus by adding the capacitor to the line will compensate the reactive power and maintains the power factor near to unity. This will avoids the penalty to the industrial consumers and may get the incentives.
AUTO SELECTION OF ANY AVAILABLE PHASE IN THREE PHASE SUPPLY SYSTEM
It is often noticed that power interruption in distribution system is about 70% for single phase faults. An automatic phase selector system is required for uninterrupted power supply to critical loads in the case of power failure in any phase. Although, there are many designs that can perform almost similar function like, single phase change over switches, two phases automatic transfer switch and three phase automatic change over switch, but this model is about an automatic phase switchover (phase selector) which is designed for only three phase AC input power to single phase output applications
LED LIGHTING SYSTEM WITH CHARGE CONTROLLER BY USING SOLAR POWER
The main objective of the project is suggesting a system that uses solar power and LED lighting technology in more efficient way. Solar power systems use solar panels to convert the heat energy directly to electricity. This electricity is stored in the battery’s that can supply only D.C output. All available lighting systems including LED lights, work on A.C power. So, the D.C supply needs to be converted to A.C using inverters, which causes some loss of power. The amount of power loss during this process depends on the efficiency of the inverter.
POWER GENERATION FROM SPEED BREAKER WITH AUTOMATIC LIGHTING SYSTEM
The basic principle is simple energy conversion form mechanical to electrical energy by using the vehicles weight (potential energy) & motion (kinetic energy). The electro-kinetic power generator is a method of generating electricity by harnessing the kinetic energy of automobiles that drives over the track. The track operates by virtue of a number of specially designed rollers placed on it. When the vehicles pass on the rollers, pressure is exerted on them, which develops the mechanical energy and by means of a specially designed mechanism, a generator is driven, which is capable of producing AC/DC current.
AUTOMATIC AGRICULTURE MOTOR CONTROL WITH IOT AND MOISTURE SENSOR
Agriculture is one of the important fields where water is required in tremendous quantity. Wastage of water is the major problem in agriculture. The main objective of this project is to control the motor. This project is done with wireless signal transmission and also to provide automatic irrigation to the plants which helps in saving money and water. The entire system is controlled using Mega828 microcontroller which is programmed as giving the interrupt signal to the sprinkler.
